New and Old Media - Going to the Moon

We Choose the Moon is an mazing use of Flash animation and multimedia to show the sequences of Apollo 11 going to the Moon. This site combines digital imaging and animation with archival audio, images and video of every stage of the travel. Click buttons at the bottom of the page to move through the stages. Such combination of new and old media gives a fascinating perspective on what it was like to complete this trip and what it was like to be on earth at that time.

The site is a joint collaboration between the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration ("NASA"), and AOL.
